The Truck Luggage ski rack attachment takes your Expedition truck-bed cargo management system (TL-603 or TL-604 - sold separately) to the next level. When it's combined with your favorite aftermarket ski or snowboard carrier (sold separately), the platform lets you transport up to four pair of skis or two snowboards in the bed of your truck. Simply toss your snow gear into the Expedition's bag, load your skis or boards into the carrier, and head for the slopes.
The ski rack attachment is easy to add onto your Expedition cargo management system. Sturdy, powder coated aluminum bars mount across the Expedition's bars and form a frame with either a 24-inch or 32-inch crossbar spread. The rustproof bars attach with sturdy plastic brackets, meaning that no drilling is required.

Today, well be test fitting the truck luggage ski rack kit, part number TL-606. This kit will allow us to mount a ski carrier to our cargo management system. This will only work on the truck luggage cargo management system. Make sure when you receive your kit, you do open it up and check the hardware. Once you verified that you have everything you need, well begin installing it. Well need the two long bars and the four black clamps.
Well begin by taking the clamps, sliding them over the cargo management system bar. Well then take the long bar, set it on top of the clamps, and line up the hole. Well then simply drop the bolt through the screw on our nut. And one of the features of these clamps that they are cut out in the shape of the nut so you wont have to hold the nut on the back side while youre taking down the torch bolt. Well then snug down the torch bolt.
Be very careful not to overtighten it as you could crush the bar. And with that bar installed, well simply repeat this process for the bar on the other side. And with our support bars secured to the cargo management system, we can now install the mounting bar. There are two holes within each of the two bars. Well line them up.
The support bars have two positions you can mount them in, inside or further out. And you can do that on both sides of the cargo management system. Well go ahead and mount ours on the outside. With the holes lined up, well drop in our bolt and secure it with a nut on the outside. Well then tighten it down using our tamper proof torch bit and 7/16 wrench.
Again, well just want to get it snugged. To get it too tight, well crush the bars. And with this bar secured, well go ahead and move to the other side. And well repeat this procedure on that side. And with the loading bars tight, our ski rack kit is ready to have the snowboard carrier installed on it. And that will complete the assembly of part number TL-606, the ski rack platform for truck luggage cargo management system. .
